Custom industrial Wood runner Core Pattern for the Hydraulic Turbines Manufacturing Industry

A hydraulic turbine manufacturer commissioned Bren-Ko Patterns to fabricate the custom industrial wood runner core pattern highlighted on this page. This pattern was challenging due to the particular way the cores had to fit together on the pattern to create the mold that would achieve the desired casting. Bren-Ko’s experts were up to the task, utilizing advanced CNC milling machinery to perform the precision routing, drilling and cutting of wood to an exacting profile. A tolerance of ± 0.005" was maintained throughout. The wood was sanded and a sealant applied for preservation. The completed pattern underwent full visual and dimensional inspections to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Final dimensions of the pattern were a height of 12.25" and a diameter of 36.498". This project was completed after a turnaround time of 4 weeks. For more information about this wood runner core pattern, or the other advanced pattern solutions Bren-Ko can provide please see the table below or contact Bren-Ko directly.
