Bren-Ko Patterns was contracted by a customer in the electric industry to fabricate the custom bearing housing pattern highlighted here. There were no available drawings to work from, and the experts at Bren-Ko were able to use the old iron casting in order to reconstruct this pattern. State of the art CNC milling machinery and lathes were employed for the precision milling and cutting of alder hardwood to create the specified shapes, holding a .030" tolerance throughout. Sanding was performed to maintain smoothness.
Finished dimensions of the pattern were 14" in length, 13" in width, and 6" thick. Full dimensional and visual inspections were implemented to ensure product accuracy. The project was completed after a turnaround time of 2 weeks, meeting customer specifications and the rigorous internal standards of Bren-Ko.
